King's Day 2022; finally we could celebrate again the way we used to in the past, and we were all so happy about that.

‘Will roses become a seasonal product again?’ This is the question that has been occupying us for some weeks now.

Our little shop-in-shop at the Tica is ready! In collaboration with Vireõ, we selected three types of plants to highlight.

Despite the uncertainty about Covid, the annual trade fair at Royal Flora Holland has attracted a lot of visitors. Our Barendsen/ FloraPodium/ IFN stand at the Flower Bazar in FloriWorld was also well attended.

Last Friday, I got on a boat trip with my dog Django and payed a visit to the family Buys in Aalsmeer.

The colors of flowers on the water, the symbolic bathtub and the ‘praam’ tell a story; reinforce each other, give an experience but the most important thing; connect people.

The first day of the Flowerbazar is over and it was great to speak to so many people again!

Grower Eduard Daling specializes in the cultivation of various seasonal flowers. Daling is great at large scale production, but always with a sense of exclusivity.

This month Schreurs Rozen en Gerbera's from De Kwakel presented us a new set of varieties available for testing.

The Novelty Hotel (see our previous blog) turned out to be unfeasible due to all the Corona developments and the accompanying new restrictions!

In the second half of April, lilac growers close their production season. The last branches are harvested from the greenhouse and taken to the auction.

Our sweet, enthusiastic colleague Lynn will leave our FloraPodium team. Of course we can’t let this happen without putting her in the Spotlights once.

On 23 May the Good Green festival took place at the Aeres MBO and VMBO school in Velp. Fantastic flower arrangements were displayed inside the school building and a wonderful festival took place outside with live music, sales stalls and delicious food and drinks!

FloraPodium is currently being described as the addition to the general menu at a star restaurant. But during such a dinner you’re allowed to spoil yourself with an extra dessert, right?
