For FloraPodium, the year 2020 is inspired by Weddings and Events. We try to give you a small glimpse into the world of Wedding and Events flowers in different ways; for instance by highlighting a special product that we think is particularly suitable for events, but also by offering interesting facts and news, but most of all by including photos of flower arrangements and decorations for inspiration. from Van der Ende Amaryllis
“Amaryllis has been our passion for over 30 years!” That is the first sentence on the website of nursery Van der Ende. And this passion and love for the profession is clearly reflected in the products that Van der Ende grows. From September to June they offer an extensive range of Amaryllises. Small-flowered, large-flowered, double-flowered and the exclusive Cybister varieties. The FloraPodium has already been introduced to beautiful varieties from the likeable brothers Martijn and Gerard several times before. For the inspiration page, the men have again selected a number of beautiful varieties, which are absolutely worth sharing!
Hippeastrum diamond "Costa Blanca"
Costa Blanca is a beautiful, expressive small-flowered Amaryllis. Ideal for use in compact bouquets or in finer flower arrangements.
Hippeastrum galaxy "Naranja"
“Naranja is the most beautiful orange Amaryllis”, says Martijn. The color is very striking. Lots of people think that most Amaryllis varieties are true Christmas flowers. This is a variety however that has nothing to do with Christmas at all, but is simply a beautiful flower that is very suitable for autumn or spring.
Hippeastrum colibri "Rapido"
Rapido is a beautiful deep red small-flowered amaryllis that is mainly characterized by the many flowers it produces; more than four flowers per stem. It is also a beautiful full amaryllis and therefore very suitable for small flower arrangements.
Hippeastrum cybister "Tango"
The "Tango" is a Cybister variety and these are slightly different from the well-known amaryllis varieties. The spider-shaped petals are characteristic of a Cybister. This unique shape fits very well with the current trend of field bouquets!
Hippeastrum galaxy "Barbados"
Barbados is a very beautiful dark red Amaryllis with a fresh green heart, which makes it look very special. A beautiful large-flowered amaryllis that will look stunning in a vase.
Hippeastrum galaxy double "Nymph"
The striking double flowered Nymph is one of the most beautiful varieties around according to Martijn. The Nymph has a very heavy full flower in an indescribably special color. This variety needs few words, one look at this fantastic flower says it all!
